Context
Beliive was a startup that created a free collaborative network where people could share their passions, learn new things, and get help without spending money. The platform used time as currency, offering a new way to connect people.
Challenge
Following the launch, the platform remained stagnant without any updates or new features for some time. The company received a new round of investment and decided to recruit a new team whose task was to retain and engage users of the free version while creating a fresh vision for the paid version, which is designed for companies. In addition to this, a new brand was established, demanding all the platforms to be updated to reflect this new image: modern, colorful, and youthful.

Understanding
Since before the pandemic, the company was already operating fully remotely, but when the CEO, who lives in the USA, came to São Paulo, Brazil, they decided to rent a coworking space to bring the team together and develop a new vision for the platform. As the only designer on the team, I suggested a Design Sprint to facilitate collaboration and generate innovative solutions from team members with a similar skill set. This was enough time to map the problems, define a solution, create prototypes, but the usability test was conducted after the Design Sprint sessions.
Known problems
Accounts
Users can have personal and company accounts, but it's not clear which account they're currently using.
Balance calculation
There are issues with the balance not accurately reflecting the "platform coins" earned, and it's unclear whether the balance is for the personal or company account.
Admin panel
Lack of a control panel to manage the company's employees and track their engagement.
Rebranding
A branding company was hired to create a new logo and we're in the process of updating all of our branding and marketing materials to reflect this change.
Solving
Solution: account for companies
During the Design Sprint, the main focus was to ensure that a user could have separate personal and professional accounts with separate balances, without mixing them up. However, the outcome of the Design Sprint was more than just this functionality: the team gained more confidence with the business rules and had already mapped out several items to be included in the roadmap to improve the product.

Users can sign up directly on the company's page after receiving an email in their company inbox.

Company page
If the user already has a personal account, they can switch to their company account in the user menu.

Personal page
Users can learn and exchange without the company being aware of their personal interests.
Deliver
New brand
With the brand aligned, our next task was to adapt it to the interface and social media materials to ensure that there was a cohesive brand experience across all touchpoints. The landing page and social media sent by the brand company met our expectations for a clean and minimalistic design, but we soon realized white colors didn't work well on social media. So, we added more colors to the illustration for a youthful vibe and ensured consistency in messaging and visuals across platforms.

Platform redesign
We've learned a lot from our design sprint, and now we're using that knowledge to make our redesign even better! Our goal was to improve how our website or app worked on different devices, so it's consistent and easy to use for everyone. We've identified the issues that were causing problems before, and we're taking this opportunity to fix them and create a smoother and more enjoyable experience for all users.
